This March, RTHS District 227 is proud to celebrate HERstory by honoring the incredible women who learn, lead, serve, and inspire across our district.

This week, we are proud to highlight Genesis Reese and Mrs. Ronette Lusby-Brown:

Genesis is recognized for her leadership, positivity, and consistent support of others—whether in class, Raptor Roundup, or athletics.
Mrs. Lusby-Brown is celebrated for her dedication to students, especially in the ALPHA program, and for the care, advocacy, and encouragement she brings every day.

Class of 2027 families: RTHS will host one final ACT Prep session on Saturday, March 14 from 8:30 AM–12:30 PM at the FAC Campus. This session is free and open to students from both campuses. Space is limited to 75 students. Sign-up information is provided in this week’s weekly update email.

SAVE THE DATE: UNCF’s “We are Stronger Together” Scholarship Gala is Friday, Feb. 27, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Tinley Park Convention Center.
The goal is to raise $250,000+ in scholarships for students in our community. Families can donate or purchase tickets using the link in this week’s email.

A few RTHS students volunteered at the South Suburban Humane Society, assisting with dog walking, cage cleaning, and spending quality time with the animals. This was a great opportunity for both the students and the animals.
