The Pack Team achieved a standout victory at the PACK EXPO at McCormick Place, winning both the Marketing and Sales categories, earning $2,500 in prize money. Their impressive performance caught the attention of multiple companies, leading to several job offers for our students.

This week the Raptors are at the PACK EXPO International at McCormick Place,they will be showcasing their final design, on the packaging and processing industry. They are 1 of 6 high school finalists.The winning team will showcase their design next year at PACK EXPO Las Vegas!

On Fri, Nov. 1, Rich Township members of BPA attended the 2024 IL BPA Fall Leadership Conference in Oak Brook. Over 220 IL members were present and participated in leadership activities, listened to guest speakers and participated in the special project for the Salvation Army.

Click here for the Weekly Update Video Town Hall Meeting Our Quarterly Town Hall Meeting is coming up on November 4th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the STEM campus Multi-Purpose Room. Families and staff are encouraged to join us for a chance to connect with district leaders and discuss any questions or concerns. Please remember to enter through Door 5. To help us make this meeting as meaningful as possible, we invite you to complete a brief survey. This feedback will assist us in setting the agenda and allows you to RSVP. Please take this opportunity to participate in the democratic process by casting your vote. We’ll see students back on campus the following day! Veterans Day As we approach Veterans Day on November 11th, a day when students are not in session, we pause to honor and express our deepest gratitude to all veterans who have served and sacrificed for our nation. This day provides an important opportunity for our community to reflect on the bravery and dedication of those who have protected our freedoms. Let us take a moment to recognize the extraordinary service of veterans in our own families, community, and beyond. Thank you to all who have served. Did You Know? This week, we’re spotlighting the Rich Township PTSO, whose mission is to support our parents, teachers, staff, and students in their journey to learn, socialize, communicate, and grow. By fostering community involvement and fundraising, the PTSO plays a vital role in enhancing the student experience. We encourage families and staff to join this impactful organization for just $10 per family/staff. Meetings are held monthly on the second Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the District Office, with a virtual option available via Zoom. The next meeting is Thursday, November 14. This Halloween,the Raptors had a spooktacular celebration! At lunchtime, they indulged in a variety of tasty treats. Our little Raptors paraded in their favorite costumes. As the day went on, excitement built for the 8th-period celebration, where dancing and games were played.

RTHS broadcast and make up club visited a movie production set offering a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes of filmmaking. From set design and cinematography to sound and direction, this immersive experience reveals the artistry and hard work that goes into each scene.

Quarterly Town Hall Meeting - November 4th at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the STEM campus

Today at lunch, Dunkin’ Donuts surprised students by giving away free samples and $5 gift cards! It was a sweet treat that added extra excitement to the lunch hour, and students loved the delicious flavors. Even the little Raptors got treats! Thank you, Dunkin!

Today, a group of 9th graders went the Chicago Wolves game for the "Get Schooled By Skates" program. The students had a blast watching the game while learning about teamwork, and sportsmanship.It was a memorable experience that combined education with the excitement hockey!

Rich Township High School District 227 is dedicated to empowering every student with the literacy skills they need across all subjects. By using metacognitive tools, students not only strengthen their reading comprehension but also learn to think critically about texts in diverse content areas. Through our district’s partnership with WestEd's Reading Apprenticeship program, teachers are integrating literacy into their subject expertise, helping students become more confident, engaged readers.
