This week we concluded our VEX Robotics League. Our 60466A Team took home the Tournament Finalist Award (Pictured below with their alliance from Bloom Trail). Please congratulate them when you see them. This year we had five teams competing from Rich Township. All of the teams have done a great job and four of the teams are still in the running to qualify for the State championships. We are cohosting the state championships with Millikin University in Decatur on March 10th and 11th. The four teams still in it (A, B, C, and F) will be competing on 2/26 for their last chance to get in so please encourage them in the upcoming efforts. Teams are on their Drone season that goes into May. We will host a drone event on 3/18 here at STEM. 60466A - Ranked 36th in the state as of 2/10/23 Roman Smith Devin Reeves Desean Fisher Kamari Taylor-Garrett 60466B - Ranked 30th in the state as of 2/10/23 Savannah Scott-Wilson Jayla Porter Torri Parham Vianca Hernandez 60466C - Ranked 38th in the state as of 2/10/23 Cherish Meyers Hailey Zamot Miguel Dixon Charles Smith 60466D - Ranked 71st in the state as of 2/10/23. This rank puts them out of the running for the state championship but they did really well for a rookie team and consistently performed in all events. They are now working towards their drone event and competing in the Southworks Robotic Olympics in April.
