On Sunday, January 22nd, our Special Olympics Basketball team did it again. After beating Kankakee and ATP, they took the gold in their division and qualified for state. This makes it a three-peat for state qualification for the team. All members of the team contributed to the championship run. Big shout to Kirk Bills, Melvin Deans, Josiah Evans, Jeremy Hill, Anthony Norwood, Alex Pack, Curtis Ross, Nasir Sain, Jacob Vlach, and Jeremiah Yow.
"We are so proud of them. They worked together and created magic like nothing we have ever seen before," said Coach Kate Gutierrez. The state is being held in March at the Illinois State University campus in Bloomington, IL.
