19th Annual South Suburban Diversity Dinner Kick Off
Saturday marked the kick off for the 19th Annual South Suburban Diversity Dinners. With Honorary chairpersons, Debbie Meyers-Martin (Olympia Fields Village President) and John Ostenburg (Park Forest Village Mayor), the planning committee led by Congresswoman Robin Kelly has begun preparations for the April 14th event.  
Annual CTE College and Career Readiness Fair a Success
The Rich Township High School District hosted its Annual CTE College and Career Readiness Fair at each of its campuses December 1st thru December 3rd. Our fair featured well over 135 representatives over the 3-day period from a variety of colleges & universities, industry professionals, the military, apprenticeships, and corporations. Our guest representatives shared information related to the job market, needed education to be competitive, and career paths in the respective core tech areas. 
Parent University Meeting 2.27.16
District 227 understands that parent-school partnerships are essential in preparing our children to become knowledgable, responsible, caring adults. 
FREE ACT Test for District 227 Students
n prior years, the State of Illinois has paid for all 3rd year students' ACT/PSAE Entrance Exams. Due to budget concerns, Illinois will not cover the cost of the test for the 2015-2016 school year.

To ensure that students are prepared for college and career success, District 227 will pay for third year students to take the ACT.
2016 Junior Senior Prom Information
The Rich South High School Junior-Senior Prom is scheduled for Saturday, May 7, 2016. This elegant event will be held from 7 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. at DiNolfo’s Banquets, 14447 West 159th Street in Homer Glen.  
GIFTS engage with author and artist Dr. Yemonha Smalls
GIFTS, the female student mentoring group at Rich South particiapted in an in-school field trip with Dr. Yemonja Smalls. 
Rich South has G.I.F.T.S.
G.I.F.T.S. is an acronym for Girls In Focus To Succeed. The mission of G.I.F.T.S is: "We encourage young ladies to develop positively through enlightenment, education, elevation, and empowerment.  
Project Save Our Boys
Project Save Our Boys is another way District 227 and Rich South are supporting the social and emotional development of our students. All males from our community are invited to join us as we constructively support the next generation of male leaders.  
Child Development Panel Discussion
Mrs. Wilks hosted a Labor and Delivery discussion for her Rich South Child Development classes.
