Forensics at Rich Central

Students are learning about Crime Scene processing in this Unit. Students attended a class at the MSI Museum of Science and Industry) on how to analyze evidence once it is collected. Students that did not attend this field trip, watched a video on the proper steps of processing a crime scene.

Students were broken into four teams and followed these steps in analyzing a murder crime scene in the Little Theater. Each group assigned a team leader and determined a quadrant in the crime scene to process. Students will do a preliminary walk though to come up with their plan, determine a quadrant to process, properly photograph and document their quadrant, create a detailed sketch to scale, and properly collect evidence. Students will then be given a budget and determine which evidence they want analyzed to solve the murder of GORC.
