With the support of both our Superintendent, Dr. Johnnie Thomas and our Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Stacey Y.S. Hunt, Rich Township has partnered with Prairie State College for an amazing opportunity for our students interested in Information Technology. District-wide, sixteen senior students will participate in a one-year IT Youth Apprenticeship Program where they will receive 22 college credit hours in Information Technology, receive hands-on training at an on-site IT facility , and have an opportunity to earn two industry-recognized credentials: Computer Support Associate Certificate (Fall ) and Cisco Network Associate Certificate (Spring) prior to high school graduation.
Rich Township is committed to providing many more opportunities to our students to earn college credit, earn credentials, and find gainful employment prior to high school graduation. Please contact our District CTE Coordinator, Ms. Hope Stovall to obtain more information.
