RICH TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT 227

SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD

AUGUST 8, 2008

 

The Board of Education of Rich Township High School District 227 met in a Special Meeting at the Holiday Inn and Conference Center, Tinley Park, on August 8, 2008.  Mr. Brunson called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m.

 

Present: Brookins, Brunson, Imoukhuede, Moten, Norwood, Owens, Upshaw

 

Also Present: Mr. Hunigan, Ms. Toney (Illinois Association of School Boards), Ms. Kwasa (Illinois Association of School Boards)

 

Mrs. Moten moved and Mrs. Norwood seconded the following:

 

It is moved that the Board of Education go into closed session for self evaluation practices and procedures, or professional ethics, when meeting with a representative of a statewide association of which the District is a member.

 

Results of the roll call vote were as follows:

 

Aye: Brookins, Brunson, Imoukhuede, Moten, Norwood, Owens, Imoukhuede

Nay: None                                                                   Motion carried.

 

At 10:00 p.m. Mrs. Norwood moved and Mrs. Owens seconded the following:

 

            It is moved that the Board of Education reconvene its special meeting.

 

Results of the roll call vote were as follows:

 

Aye: Brookins, Brunson, Imoukhuede, Moten, Norwood, Owens, Imoukhuede

Nay: None

                                                                                    Motion carried.

 

At 10:01 p.m. Mrs. Norwood moved and Mrs. Owens seconded the following:

 

            It is moved that the Board of Education adjourn its special meeting.

 

Results of the roll call vote were as follows:

 

Aye: Brookins, Brunson, Imoukhuede, Moten, Norwood, Owens, Imoukhuede

Nay: None

                                                                                    Motion carried.
