IHSA Academic Eligibility Requirements
The IHSA requires all student-athletes and activity participants to pass 5 classes. This check does not reflect only the school's weekly scholastic performance, but also reflects the student's cumulative performance for the semester through the date of the check.
Rich Township District 227 Grade Point Average Eligibility
The Rich Township District 227 student-athlete eligibility policy requires that each student-athlete achieve a 2.0 GPA (C average) each quarter or the previous semester in order to participate in an athletic or activity program, including Band or Chorus.
Athletic Physical Examinations
It is mandatory that all athletes have a yearly physical examination completed on an IHSA Pre-participation Examination form. Freshmen can use their school physical medical entrance exam to participate in athletics during the current school year. The athletic department requires student-athletes to submit a physical exam form completed with the physician's office stamp.
Students must have a current physical on file in the athletic office and register online before being cleared to participate for tryouts.
Rich East will provide a certified athletic trainer from ATI; Ms. Betsy DeVivo. We follow state and federally mandated concussion protocols.

A family athletic pass can be purchases for $50. This pass allows family members (immediate family members in your residence) to attend all regular season home games at no cost (excludes Rich East Invitationals, SAC and IHSA events). Family athletic passes are available in the athletic office.
