Welcome to Summer School at Rich Township High School District 227!
Due to the COVID-19 shelter in place order, all summer school classes will be held virtually this summer. Summer school gives students a chance to experience success in courses in which they have not done well in the past. Please look over the course offerings and choose one per semester that interests you. Students may earn ½ credit upon successful completion of the semester.
Credit recovery classes will be offered through GradPoint, which is an online platform that we currently use at District 227. Classes offered in this format will be self-paced and predominately independent. Students taking a GradPoint course will have access to support within the online platform. A District 227 facilitator will also be available to assist students with issues that they are experiencing. A teacher will monitor student progress in the course and keep students on track to complete the course within the allotted time. All students will need access to technology. Additional information regarding technology distribution is forthcoming.
Classes that students received an incomplete in for semester 2 of the 2019-2020 school year will be also offered an opportunity to complete their missing work for credit. These classes will also be led and monitored by a teacher and will have required check-in times.
Students recommended for extended school year (ESY) as a part of their I.E.P. should contact Ms. LaRhonda Taylor at email@example.com or 708-679-5680.
